Sad thing is ... if it was King George the II getting a BJ from a disgusting slob of an intern the moronic masses would be cheering him on saying how she was doing it for her country and we shouldn't question our President's sexual practices. Doing so would be treason.

The funny thing about economics is that much of it is perception driven. If everyone went out tomorrow and bought new washing machines, there would be a bump in durable goods sales. That perception issue is very well illustrated by stock market crashes. Its not that something serious happened, but that people think something is happening.

Frankly, I don't think there's been enough of a tax cut on the Federal level. Some cut backs on a lot of DEA and other Law enforcement agencies would net some hefty returns on the federal level that could result in more serious cutbacks. I'd also like to see something real done with SS, but thats still as much of a land mine for republicans as gun control is for democrats. Frankly, if I could opt out of SS tomorrow, I would. I'd love to put the $260 I pay to FICA per month into my 401K program or better yet into savings. I'd get more out of it in the short or long term.
