This hits close to home. I'm a Native American, and people forget what was done to us and brush it off like nothing happened. No, disease ridden blankets were not distributed to the Natives in an attempt to lower thier numbers and wipe them out. There were no Whites that were told to shoot redskins on site.

Granted, I'm not saying that we need to be repaid for these events, we just need to remember them. If we remember them there is a chance we will learn from the events. If we learn from the events there is a chance we will not be doomed to repeat them.

Don't get me started on the people who say immigrants should all go home.

*nods* fuckassery historical editing from different ends of the scale. The examples I stated are more the leftist wish to sanitize our viewing habits.

The ToT example you cited tend to be more on the right end of the scale and it's wish to make people believe that we as a nation have done no wrong in our past.
