I find it mildly comforting that I buy my shoes from a place that has a life size stature of Robert Wadlow placed in the corner of the store. There is also one of his shoes on display in a glass case on the counter.

Robert Wadlow, eh? And I'm glad to see that I'm not the only dork in this world who knew he was the world's tallest man. I read Guiness too much. lol

Well, there's the fact I've been into Guiness and Ripley for far too long. But there's also the mitigating circumstances that he died here back in 1940.

So, like Buffalo seems to be obsessed with McKinley, Manistee has a lot of Wadlow references. Just not to as great an obsession.
