Trillian annoyances

Is there another type of program that bundles the various instant messaging services out there?

I am most likely going to be dropping trillian as it seems to be unable to actually BLOCK assholes I have placed on my blocked list. Specifically, one ICQ account that has repeatedly requested authorization OVER and OVER and OVER even after I've placed that number in my blocked/ignore list.

ICQ UIN 284201805 - you're either a spamming fuckhole or an annoying idiot who doesn't know how to read.

Try Gaim it's open source and runs on windows as well as on linux/bsd

If I recall correctly blocking a person on ICQ won't stop the auth messages no matter what clint you use.

Anyway, that number has too many digits in it to be cool.

*sigh* will most likely just drop my ICQ number then. Which is sad, since I've been using that since I left PowWow.

The blocking functionality is within ICQ not the client so the problem has nthing to do with Trillian.

Nope, I get the exact same issue with a few ICQ spammers on gaim, and just recently. I think they're counting up, and since I've got a 6-digit ICQ, they're getting to me now. Not blockable, either.

The spammer is a script, and will actually go past you eventually.
