Met Alton Brown tonight

Alton Brown likes my tattoo! He didn't know what it was. But he liked it. ( "I love the map." ) I explained to him what it was and why I got it.

He then lifted up the sleeve of his bowling shirt and showed off his new tattoo he had done for the new edition of "Feasting for Asphalt" ... complete with latin version of 2007 under the kitchen tool crossbones.

I am happy to report I did not fanboy or squeek.

I've so much more to write about ... but I am exhausted! Yes, I know it's funny that I won't drive 15 minutes for a concert. But I'll happily drive 150 miles to see him.

The diehard republican from work I've mentioned a few times was the copilot on my trip to see Alton last night.

He surprised the hell out of me!

He was singing in time - AND ADDING the detroit scene lines - to Voltaire's rendition of "Science Fiction Double Feature" when it came on! HOLY CRAP!

He's now into Voltaire because of two things.

First: His son is a big Billy & Mandy fan.
Second: Had him listen to Banned on Vulcan and his live stuff before letting him hear anything from Devil's Bris or later.

... talking to him at lengths over the last year and a half, it's REALLY frightening how much we're similar with only a few glaring differences. To the point of the nickname for us being the "Night and Day twins".

Updating the phone

I'm considering updating my cellphone. The one that has caught my eye is this one.

Anyone have any experience with it?
Anyone know anyone who uses it?

Any other phone ( workable on the T-Mobile network ) that one of you recommends?

Input would be highly appreciated.
