Met Alton Brown tonight

Alton Brown likes my tattoo! He didn't know what it was. But he liked it. ( "I love the map." ) I explained to him what it was and why I got it.

He then lifted up the sleeve of his bowling shirt and showed off his new tattoo he had done for the new edition of "Feasting for Asphalt" ... complete with latin version of 2007 under the kitchen tool crossbones.

I am happy to report I did not fanboy or squeek.

I've so much more to write about ... but I am exhausted! Yes, I know it's funny that I won't drive 15 minutes for a concert. But I'll happily drive 150 miles to see him.

I met him a few years ago, he was very cool. I, unfortunately, was very sick. I'd developed a horrid chest flu whilst standing in line. But he made a wisecrack about bubonic plague, and seemed entertained that I responded in kind. I keep hoping he'll come back through. I REFUSE to miss the master class this time.
