Invoking the Buffy aspect of the Goddess.

I really wished this was written as a joke. Failing that, I really wished it was written by a teenage girl who just saw the Craft and thought it'd be cool to start calling herself a witch. BUT NOOOOOOOOOOOO, I don't get either of those wishs, do I?

This piece of "literature" was penned by an adult male working on his PhD. Well, working on it in between getting his superhero novel published and yet another half-assed tome dealing with pop culture and the occult. SWEET DEAD JEW ON A STICK! Is desperate need of psych meds a requirement for getting a doctorate at Kent State?

upon first seeing this article I didn't know whether to laugh or cry. I hedged my bets and just laughed myself to tears.

I don't even know what to say about this. I'm not one for strict dogma. Not for any religion, but this ranks right up there with Kevin Smith's Buddy Christ.

I can see the power in pop culture icons, I mean, media itself is quite the worshipped diety, is it not? However, something about htis is just so....hokey. Hmm.

Oh I don't hate them. They're just a medium irritant. They make for qualified recepticals for my rage. As the late great Bill Hicks once said "I'm a camel of Hate and I'm just here to fill up the hump."

Dude... you'd be better off worshiping Sarah M.G. in hopes of her discovering your love and reciprocating it.

Then again, focusing the mind can be done many ways - and what he describes (leaving out the hocus pocus and "I felt a presence" crap) is a simple focus and meditate technique.

Works good with proper control and training. Very dangerous without reinforcing principles as the voices people hear might be misinterpreted and lead to some rather unbelievably stupid actions.
