you know, however stupid it might be, somewhere out there is someone who will *insist* that it's perfectly sensible. i have actually argued with people about vegan cats. :(

humans are omnivorous to varying degrees (it's a *really bad idea* for some inuit people to go vegan), and are welcome to eat whetever they like. i eat very little meat, loads of fish, and huge amounts of dairy. and eggs. god i'm sick of fresh free range eggs. it was such a relief to have one hen go off lay.

Some people insist that feeding animals a vegan diet makes them calmer, less likely to attack. I want to see the studies that prove that, but I doubt they could produce them.

i do give some to the neighbours. but we're in Scotland, and there's been some Bird Flu hysteria around here lately, so i've been trying to avoid drawing too much attention to the hens.
