Remind me again why I've busted my ass at almost every job I've ever had? Where does it ever get me?

Was supposed to get 60 hours this week working mids ( 5pm to 5am ) on the rollpress. (- Only temp they've had in ages that doesn't have to be supervised on it. -) So I wasn't too worried about missing last night due to my medical appointment on the other side of the state.

Good god damn thing I DID miss it!

There wasn't a delivery of steel this week. I RAN OUT about 7 hours into tonight's shift!

Yeah, serves me right for having my coworker/supervisor set the line speed a "tad" faster than what most of the workers set it for. I'm sorry. I like working at a speed where I believe I am accomplishing something.

So, since I've already cooked through the reserve steel coils, my paycheck this week will be less than 40 hours instead of almost 50.

Yeah ... I didn't need that 10+ hours of OT. Not at all.

Fuck.

(hugs) You're a very hard worker. It's too bad you ended up in a spot where you ran out of work due to being =too= good at the spot you were placed in. Usually when I end up being that good in a position, people start making me multitask.

Watch out... I had the same problem when I was at the same company, in customer service.

I ended up being so fast they decided they didn't have enough work for me and let me go.
