Sometimes you have to wonder if some ebay "businesses" assume no one can read and do research.
I was highest bidder for an auction a few days ago. Ended up paying $0.01 for the item and $7.99 for shipping. Yes, those numbers are correct.
So the company emails me stating my order was currently unavailable and I would be notified when it would be shipped. I was annoyed. But since the item would've cost $50+ otherwise, I wasn't too worried.
Until I noticed they reposted multiple listings for the same item ... dated AFTER I received the initial email.
This prompted me to send them an email questioning what the situation was. This was the reply:

We sincerely do apologize as the following item(s) you ordered is currently unavailable.
