" When do you stop charging cover? I'd rather give the $5 to the bar and not the bands. "
(- I swear to god I am going to eviscerate the next person who actually IMs me during the daytime to ask me that and to follow up with that STUPID comment -)

A little lesson folks. Contrary to what seems to be a popular belief, the normal cover charge isn't totally for the bands. The money also helps go to pay for utilities, payroll etc etc etc because, unlike the chipstrip clubs. We don't overprice our drinks.

The cover is also how the owner's beancounters judge how many people are coming through the door. At the end of the night, I don't tell my boss how many people came through the doors. I tell him how many paid cover.

It's seriously getting to the point where I'm going to have to keep charging cover until 3:45 because lately all you fucks have been coming after I normally stop charging at the door. Seriously folks, when 3/4ths of the night's crowd comes in after the normal cutoff for door, what am I supposed to do?

I swear! ANYONE who comes up to me and complains about the Cont closing is going to find their genitalia suddenly lodged in their sternum.

Fuck you! You're all sodomizing bastards who would take the gold from a hanged man's teeth! Go to hell and suck on Mammon's pustulant, weeping sore encrusted phallus. Next!

(- It's a sore subject for me. I went through this with my family's store. We were the only grocery store in the town. When we announced we were closing, people came in and complained that we were killing the community by closing our door. These people would have their cars packed with bags from the supermarket located in the next town. I don't know how I managed to make it without taking a bat to those ungrateful fucks. -)
