Okay - last night's plans shit the bed HARD. We're talking fiber OD bowel movement bad.

Make it to the border after a friggin half hour wait. I've never seen the bridge that backed up except during the start of a three day weekend. Finally get to the border guard who promptly (after asking me a shitload of questions) denies me entry because I didn't have my birth certificate on me. I've NEVER had to show my BC at the border before. So I drive back to the apartment and grab both my BC and my passport just to be safe and head back to the bridge.

Wouldn't you know it? Another half hour bottleneck wait. And I wasn't paying attention to which line I got into and ended up at the same wench's gate. She sent me to customs and they disected my car ... Literally.

By that time it would have been at least 10pm before I got into Toronto. The party started at 7pm and I was in too foul a mood to drive the hour+ up there.

FUCK the BORDERGUARDS! Fuck them right in the ear!

For those of you who know me and what I do when I am extremely pissed off ...

The bathroom tub is gleaming like a model's pearly whites. The floor glows. The metal fixtures in both the bathroom and kitchen are polished to mirror finish. And the apartment is rearranged.

and I made shepherd's pie ... and ate the whole damned thing.

Okay, I am officially pussy whipped. I bought the fur bearing couch vultures their own couch.

I went to FWS with Dottie the other day because she was looking for carpet remnents. While looking through them I saw this godawful upholstered wedge from a sectional. It's one of the wedges that look like a staircase almost. Two wooden shelves and a fabricced top. It was labelled as a cat napper.

I thought to myself, "The monsters would love that." Looked at the price not thinking that it'd be something I could afford ...

35 dollars!!!

Petco sells window ledge "beds" for that much! SO of course I bought it. Now whether I reupholster it is another story. The monsters are loving it. In fact they are both asleep on the top as I type this.
