Sometimes the culture of LJ astounds me. Like Margaret telling people she doesn't answer unknown or blocked calls. I thought maybe I should post something like that, and then I realized that if people haven't figured out how to leave a voicemail when I don't answer the phone - then little I do will help them get a clue.
The friend'ing thing is pretty scary too. So people friend and unfriend, and from my point of view it is no different than pruning some wild growths or exploring alternate paths. But people take it personally such that I've had people ask me not to unfriend them because *people would think things* ...
Errr... It never occurred to me people would review my friends list to decide if I was suitable to be read or left unread. Yet I've had people also comment "Oh you're a friend of Robert and Drew, so you must be blah blah blah."
I think LJ is it's own little bastard child in this way. Slowly but surely I'm finding that precludes me from spending as much time in LJ as I used to.
