KARAOKE night in Manistee

So my favorite lil lipstick lesbian coworker and the former prison guard both ganged up on me and dragged me out of the house kicking and screaming tonight.

They dragged me to karaoke.

Remember the area I live in. Most of the songs sung were country.

I said fuck it! If I have to suffer. EVERONE suffers!

The guy looked at me with a smile on his face when he saw the songs I picked.

I got a standing ovation for Ziggy ... Which really shocked me.

I have a totally suckass singing voice.

But when I sing Bowie. I ... FUCKING ... SING ... BOWIE.

A tiny girl of about 24 came up to me and asked who the singer was for that as she'd never heard the song before.

I had to stifle a laugh. Since just a bit earlier in the night, she and her friend trod all over their attempt at doing "A Space Oddity".

Instead I told her it was Bowie. And since she looked a bit like a proto-goth, I told her how Bauhaus' cover of "Stardust" was the song that got me interested in them as a band.
