Stout, the breakfast of Champions

Oh my stars and garters!
Ben & Jerry has a BLACK & TAN flavour ice cream? Why has no one told me this before?
I find this out the same day the doc clears me to imbibe "judiciously". So I went and treated myself to New Holland Brewery's oatmeal stout called "The Poet". It's one of the malty type stouts that I truly love.
Have I mentioned how much I love Michigan? We have some of the best breweries. How can one go wrong with a oatmeal stout which has a full moon behind a crowing raven on the label?
This will keep me happy until Founder's Brewery starts churning out the Breakfast Stout again next summer.

A CLASSIC B&T is Guiness and Bass. Though some will use Harp lager instead of Bass pale ale in order for the B&T to be "all guiness". ( Harp being brewed by Guiness.) That's usually called a half & half instead of a Black n Tan.
I've seen a B&T called a black & blue in the local brewpub. That being stout and blueberry ale.
I make a B&T with chocolate stout and cherry wheat ...
But the B&T that B&J make is a cream stout flavoured ice cream with chocolate ... I MUST find some.
