I was hesitent about going to see "V for Vendetta". I'd seen what hatchet jobs Moore works tend to become when brought to the screen. The fact that the Wachowski ( Matrix is a one shot. No wait - we really thought of it as a trilogy ... No - wait, one of us is going through a messy divorce and the wife is claiming to have helped with the matrix ideas so it was a one shot, we came up with the trilogy idea later on. yeah that's the ticket. ) brothers are part of the team bringing it about didn't make me very happy.
But I am going to see just because some of the comments I've heard from the bleeting sheep of Unmerica.
"It's a bad movie because the main guy is a terrorist."
FUCK YOU! FUCK YOU right in your SUV DRIVING swollen ass! Way to completely miss the point! You're cattle! Go back to chewing the cud that is McDonalds and Budweiser! You bovine fucks! GODS!!!

Thank you for that little rant.
It brought a smile to my face as I go into work for the 13th day in a row to deal with sheeple.

I hope it makes people doubt the prevailing attitudes of terorist=bad.
You may say I'm a dreamer... but I'm not the only one...

"Just back from V FOR VENDETTA. More thumbs up than a Chernobyl pianist. Superb. Splendid. Heartening. Go see."

I may go see this today or tomorrow afternoon if it's too cold for the parade.

"There are people who are going to hate this movie; people who don’t like to think, the brain dead, the fools. Referencing the still unseen film, one member of a politically minded film forum was quick to declare: “You can’t make a movie about a terrorist now without endorsing bin Laden”. It’s that mindset, which has become so ingrained in all of us since 9/11, that makes V for Vendetta so unsettling. At times it almost feels like you’re watching something forbidden, like you’re seeing something you shouldn’t be allowed to see. It’s shocking that a movie like this, especially in these times, ever actually got made. It’s even more unbelievable that it was made by a major Hollywood studio. It’s fun to accuse Hollywood of liberal activism, but you don’t expect this kind of real filmmaking bravery from corporate America or a company like Warner Bros. It’s a purposefully uncomfortable film, one that will affect different people differently depending on what you bring in with you."

I normally don't give half a post chilli shit about what a reviewer says, the this one amuses me... he will die last.

And people wonder why I think we need a nice plague followed by a quick and tidy revolution to clean things up around here...

Except a plague would be used to further strengthen the fascists' hold on the sheeple. Unless it somehow managed to infect those at the top first.
Wait a moment someone's at the door ...
