When did I get OLD?
Mike ( the guy I work with when I do the midnight shift at the factory ) and I were going through ton number 10 when my ears perked up and I had to shut the roll press down.
" What's wrong? " he asked.
" We ARE listening to the classic rock station, right? "
He answered with a little confused, " ummm yeaah "
" THEN ANSWER ME WHY THE FUCKING HELL THEY ARE PLAYING, TWIST OF CAIN!!!! "
...
When the fucking hell did DANZIG become classic rock? Where's my fucking geritol? Where's my fucking cane? No fuck that! Where's my fucking hoveround??!?!?
Danzig ... classic rock.
I think I just threw my back out from the weight of years.

Bite me.
Honestly, I don't know WHY hearing that hit me more than hearing Mother (which I've heard on other stations but NOT classic rock) or even hearing GnR, Warrant, Whining Lion(1) or the rest of that buttrock which was around at the same time.
Probably because in the small podunk area where I grew up, I would HEAR those songs on the local radio. But never anything like Danzig or stuff more obscure. The only time I heard "Twist of Cain" before tonight was when I played it.
(1) White Lion for you who don't sing along with the song using the lyrics, "When the singer cries"

Remember how I said I felt when you were talking about covering Desert Storm in your history class all those years ago?
Yeah, kinda like that but moreso.
