I actually have no sympathy for the prick on the other line. I truly believe that those in the cold call telemarketer industry are far lower on the rung of society than prostitutes. At least prostitutes serve a purpose.

Before people get all indignant over my opinion and then try to claim that it's just a job and people need to take what they can get in such a depressed market. I'll also point out that stripping is also a job. Stripping is legal and a lot more respectable than fucking telemarketing.

I quit a temp agency I had worked for in Buffalo due to them breaking my ONE rule. I would take any job they sent my way EXCEPT cold call telemarketing. I was sent on an assignment which I was told involved calling people and requesting information in regards to polls sent out. Ten minutes into the day, they started talking about how our job was getting the people to buy things which really had nothing to do with the poll that was sent out.

I'd rather work in the dredges of a fruit processing plant than work in a telemarketing office.
