I'm begrudgingly watching the entire thing solely because I've done my best to see or read every adaptation of L. Frank Baum's work that I can get my hands on. Be it the "Wizard of Oz", "The Wiz", the silent films based on the early books of the series ( of which I've managed to find a couple on DVD ) and even the anime Oz no MahÅtsukai which ran the gamut of the original stories of Dorothy Gale onto Ozma and beyond.
I have to hand it to SciFi. They've managed to find an adaptation of the storyline which I dislike even more than "Wicked".
And SWEET BLACK FORNICATING JESUS!!! Could they have at least picked an actress who has a wider range of expression than various forms of bewilderment? She spends the entire series looking like she's undergone multiple trepanations. It's the same expression she used throughout all of Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy!
Seriously, Zooey Deschanel is probably the only actor or actress in Hollywood that has less expressive range than Keanu Reeves!
