Happy Father's Day to ...
all the fathers of my friends and to my friends who are fathers themselves.
Something tragic came to my mind when i began thinking of what to do for my dad today.
Back in May when
mspaintchuk and
imperfectme were chatting after she and I came out from the Tower of Terror we noticed a young boy of MAYBE nine years old walking in front of us.
The T-shirt he wore had this on the back:
PROUD SON OF ....
Killed in Action ....
Going by the date given, the boy lost his father before he even started kindergarten!
Think on that a bit today as you're enjoying your BBQ with Dad. Try to imagine how many kids have lost their father due to a manchild with a bit of power wanting to prove to his own daddy that he's a BIG BOY now. Then think of how many more orphans the Smirking Chimp will be responsible for by Father's Day next.
hug your father today. You never know when you'll not be able to again.
