Why I don't celebrate my birthday ...
My birthday so far consisted of:
Waiting around at work two hours after I was offshift to get a ride home. I didn't feel like walking the 6-7 miles home without my cane.
Coming back 4 hours later in order to spend the morning and most of the afternoon working on the car, hoping and praying it was something simple like the starter ... and not a bent valve or jumped timing chain. It ended up being something cracked which was flooding the plugs with antifreeze ... there goes 300+ bucks plus time wasted.
Getting the call from mum that they are researching the options for dad. He's going to end up paralyzed from the waist down if he doesn't go through surgery. Even with the surgery options, he may still end up paralyzed.
... And no one got me my (traditional) birthday wish
