One thing I will love about leaving this area is getting rid of thrice damned Adelphia! They've tried to overcharge me EVERY MONTH for the last six months. Every month they try to claim I owe them an average of three times what my monthly charges are.
The last bill I paid I made sure that the girl on the other end of the line said I was paid up until September 15th. I made her repeat it three times. I wanted to make sure she knew I wasn't asking for what was "past due". I was asking how much had to be paid for me to be paid up until september 15th ( this was in august ). So leaving that call, I was assured I owed them NOTHING until September 15th.
Next bill comes in saying I owe them 271 dollars.
271 dollars.
I have nothing but the cable modem. I made sure that I was able to get NOTHING but the (so-called) high speed internet service. Made sure they told me how much I'd be paying. I should be paying no more than 50-60 (depending on what bullshit surcharges they try to add).

I called them up and they claim that I owe them money because they haven't been able to make it over to put a filter onto the line going into the house to make sure I am not getting cable tv signal as well as the internet. They're claiming I've not answered my door or my phone in order to let them in. They're claiming they can't open the gate themselves to get to the line. This is bullshit of course since they'd have no problem opening the gate to cut off service completely.
I repeated my stance that as of September 15th, 2005 I was COMPLETELY paid up according to XXXXXX. I was told that she was wrong and wasn't authorized to say how much I owed! HELLO! I was paying my bill! How could she not be authorized to tell me how much I owed?!?! The bitch on the other end kept reading from her (obvious) script and didn't answer any of my questions. Everytime I asked a question she restarted the script. What the fuck is that all about?
I informed the harpy that I refused to pay them another cent until they fixed the bill. I informed them that, in my view, they were trying to rob me by filing false charges and if they tried to collect said money that I would countersue.
Today I got another bill. They're still trying to rob me.
I'm actually looking forward to them threatening to disconnect me.
I swear I am so glad ADELPHIA has gone bankrupt and is being sold off in PIECES. May the profits of each and every manager and executive of that corp turn to flaming dogshit in their mouths.
