So, I'm back in Michigan for the next few days. And it's warmer here than in Buffalo. Whoever would've thought THAT would happen?
I wasn't home 12 hours before family and friends started asking me if I would ever consider moving back to the area. The scary thing is, I'm actually a little tempted. I never thought I would ever seen the day when this area actually seemed booming. When I moved away in 98, there were for sale signs everywhere and no one was hiring. Property value has skyrocketed, etc etc etc ...
It's scary.
One amusing thing though, someone who left the area to make it rich has come back and started buying up properties left and right. One of the areas he bought has been turned into a nature preserve. I'll not give the name of the preserve just yet ... but will take a picture of the sign when I drive by it next and post it here.
After the sign went up, there was a big outcry that there was going to be human sacrifices taking place on the grounds. You gotta love hicks.
