As some of you have come to know. I really don't like machine music *cough* bands. I view them as nothing more than a DJ spinning a record while muting the vocals and having some negliably talented vocalist put words to it. That's not being a band. That's being someone with an expensive boombox and too much free time.

Last night ... the "headliner" pulled a Britney; much to my amusement and amazingly without any repurcussions from the bleeting sheep who are fans of such music.

Our resident dwarf bartender, Pete, scampered into the sound booth while PROCESS OF ELIMINATION was 'performing'. He thought he'd get ahead of the game and cue up a CD for when the bands were done for the night. Of course once he popped the CD out ... there was dead air except for the vocals of the cute little thing bouncing around on stage and the bleeping of the twits on the keyboards (yes plural) wondering why they were now making noise.

I will give them credit. Their vocalist managed to play damage control VERY well and herded the sheep back into shape and finished their set. But I still had to go outside for a few moments while I burst out laughing. The only thing I could think of was how Milli Vinilli went tits up when their "vocals" skipped.
