The Bush administration is hard at work trying to prove the economy is on an upswing.
No, they are not creating new jobs.
No, they are not keeping jobs from going overseas.

What they are doing is trying to claim that working in the fast food industry is a MANUFACTURING job, not a food service job.

This is about as stupid as when Ronnie Ray-Gun decided back in his first administration that ketchup counts as a vegetable serving in order to stem the tide of reports that public school lunchs are lacking proper nutrition.
(- which is funnny to this day since tomatoes are fruit -)

Intelligence is knowing that tomatoes are fruit, not vegetables.
Wisdom is knowing not to use them in fruit salad.

I hear the song, I see the dance... I notice the smoke and the mirrors... AND the man behind the curtain.

It's official. Bush is an idiot of the purest ray serene.

Hypothetical situation: Just think of the pride your teenage son will have when he can get a bigger tax break than you can because he works at Wendy's and you work at Eastman Kodak. "So, what do you for a living, Johnny?" - "I'm in manufacturing! I process, assemble, quantify and assess quality of manufactured product in our output efficiency department." ie. Johnny makes burgers and slides them down the silver bin as fast as he can. It's not only a quality manufacturing job (according to the report), but just THINK of the bitchin' tax breaks!
