One of the things I do like about the casino's break room is the communal library we've acquired over the years. People leave books. People take books. etc etc etc ...
Of course, it's not often I find something I'd like to read. The majority consists of romance, westerns or the type of shit that fans of "24"(*) would read. I live in the heart of Frozen Redhead Central after all.
But occasionally there's a find which gets me interested.
I just finished
"Whispering Nickel Idols" by
Glen Cook.
I'm late in the game for picking up the series. After all, Idols is the 11th in the series. I'm even more late in the game for picking up anything by the author. But I'm making up for it. I'll also be looking into his "The Black Company" series.
(*) Waiting for the "Why do you hate America." crap to come in for that comment.
