home again
I am home. Safe, but not sound.
I sometimes forgot how M115 can hypnotize you if you drive it late at night. I swear to the high heavens that the boogeyman was telling me which tracks to play on my mp3 player. Plus, I got lost AGAIN since I seem to be incapable of finding the expressway from Queens West after leaving Silver Snail. Other than that, the ride home was great.
Gods, I so needed this last weekend. Really didn't do much, but what I did was with friends I don't see nearly enough. Hell the last time I was up in Toronto was when we moved those two into the Gin Palace.
Had absolutely no luck finding EITHER variety of agwa at the LCBO near Sio N Axel's. Seems that one doesn't carry it anymore. The rest of the errands went good.
Spent far too much at LUSH, as usual. So much so that the scrawny boy behind the counter threw in a bunch of giftie trial size stuff after he finished slicing off the soaps I wanted.
Surprisingly enough, didn't spend much at all in Silver Snail. I just flyered for Jen's comic and picked up the latest issues of Neverwhere, Freshmen and BPRD.
What killed me was going into Tutti Frutti. Bought a box each of Clove and Blackjack gum because I can't ever seem to find it when they sell it infrequently in the states. Also bought a lil present for the cute but psycho ex-roomie. She'll have to either come here to get it or wait until I drag my happy ass to Buffalo again.
I realize now, as I am writing this, that I did not partake in poutine this trip. I am surprised nothing blew up. Maybe the baked brie and helping to come up with a cocktail we could call a Stiff Martin made up for not eating the cheesy gravy-ie fries.
You canadian girls have to stop being so hot. That or stop being attached when I am up to visit. :-P
I don't know if this has been widely released yet. If not, we're being guinea pigged again by the Big Two soda companies. Coca cola has a new flavour. Black Cherry Vanilla ...
I will repeat that.
Black Cherry Vanilla.
not something I could drink on a regular basis ... but DAMNED is it good for an occassional treat for the tongue.
