Hmmm just what I need. Another reason to feel old

Bad enough when one of my babybats talked to me about learning of the Gulf War in History class.

# They have no meaningful recollection of the Reagan era and probably did not know he had ever been shot.

This is entirely unimportant to anything. Why did they start with it? Not to mention the 'they've never heard such and such advertising slogan' ones.

THere's a lot of things on here that I don't agree with. Just because you were born after things happened or were in plentiful supply doesn't mean you don't *know* about them. Examples:

# Tiananmen Square means nothing to them.
# The statement "You sound like a broken record" means nothing to them. (They have never owned a record player.)

Unless, of course, they have aspirations of being a DJ.

# They have likely never played Pac Man and have never heard of Pong.

(There's still plenty of PacMan machines in older arcades.)

# They never took a swim and thought about "Jaws."

I mean, come *on*. We live in the era of video rentals and internet downloads.

And:
# They don't have a clue how to use a typewriter.

Typewriters. Still available. Still in use. Deprecated maybe, but definitely still around.

# Bottle caps have always been screw off and plastic.

Even the ones on beer?
