South Carolina priest asks parishioners to refrain from taking holy communion if they voted for Obama.

Fucking altar boys in the ass? Sure, no problem.
Voting democrat? That "constitutes material cooperation with intrinsic evil."

He thinks parishioners who voted for Obama should do penance for their vote before they take communion again.

reminds me of when as a kid the pastor, from behind the pulpit would assure us that "brothers and sisters we're not politicising the pulpit or urging who you should vote for; but just remember...which party has a god fearing leader.."

I'm not sure if you remember much of queensland politics of that time (1988)..but..the party with the god fearing leader...turned out to be the most corrupt State administration this country ever gave rise to. It was no accident that after the subsequent royal commission more than half of the the state cabinet were up on charges, including the Premier himself.

pardon the rant...but it never ceases to amaze me the liberties taken from some pulpits..

i've seen some of it.. but it was all the rage here through the 80s and 90s. it more distresses me now to watch it.. to think we've come this far and can't even get some basics sorted.
