For the time being I am going to be crossposting everything to insanejournal and greatestjournal. I'll start crossposting the archives over there as well. But that will be a slow process, most likely only doing a week or so at a time.

I'm RazorJAK on both of those. Go to either of those if you notice my absence here.

LiveJournal is no longer a good place when spokespeople for SuxApart can actually state "it's not illegal to aspire to be thin. It's not against the ToS to give people bad advice." in response to the outcry about fanfic authors/artists being banned yet communities which contribute to the slow suicide of people through a pro-anorexia viewpoint being A-Okay in their book.

Who's cock did that cunting bitch swallow in order to get her job? She fails completely at spindoctoring.

i'm siani_hedgehog on both, but not using 'em. LJ's TOS decisions have yet to actually anger me.

LJ is evil, so is any other "social" web 2.0 blabla site out there at some point in time (past or future, doesn't matter really).

Anyway i understand your motivsation to move on and as long as I can glimpses of your world via a RSS feed I'm okay :-)

I'm now envisioning a future where I have to assemble my own "Friends Page" using RSS feeds. Kind of a step backward.

More likely than not I won't be leaving LJ completely. But if they decide to pull my account due to my being a bit vocal in my opposition to their jackassery ... then you'll know where to find me.

I see a large part of the problem not being inherent in Livejournal, but being indicative of the larger problem of the government deciding they want to take over the internet. LJ is not the only service that is starting to make really arbitrary decisions about what's allowed, due to recent legislation and chain rattling. And besides, OMG THINK OF THE CHILDREN.

"OMG THINK OF THE CHILDREN"

Just as the neocons are more concerned with microscopic blobs of amino acids than ... oh ... ACTUAL LIVING BREATHING CHILDREN, they're more concerned with fictional teenagers in fanfic than they are with actual living breathing girls who are committing slow suicide with their mental disease.

No, they're not the only site doing this. But they're making the most public hamfisted jackasses of themselves the way they are attempting to spin this in a positive light.

Oh hell yes, we can't have our kids even knowing that sex exists until they hit 18, but we don't care about them starving to death. But that's pretty typical with our current idiots in office, as well as all the Fox News crap that's bringing a lot of the country who don't actually bother to _think_ about things on to their side.

I've seen it in a number of places in various ways recently, so I'm mostly just seeing the whole thing come crashing down at once- and most of them aren't dealing with it well. Yes, LJ's spin doctor's need to be fired, but on the other hand, how can you really portray this crap in a positive light successfully to people who do actually bother to think about it?
