OK, well I don't really dig on the whole aborted fetus stem cell thing, but one of the comments he made kind of made me (and organ procurement organizations probably) say "eh?!?" He mentioned that he vetoed the bill not because of a religious opposition but because "we shouldn't be using our children for spare parts". That particular wording makes it sound like organ donation is a despicable procedure, because it would seem to be more along the lines of the "spare parts" ideology than stem cell research.

The majority of stem cell research would be using materials from invetro clinics that would otherwise be discarded. There's no "children" being used for spare parts.

It's yet another topic in which he claims to have the moral high ground and an informed opinion; When he's actually nothing but a drooling simpleton shitting his pants while playing in a sandbox.

On the invitro clinic topic-- oh my gosh those people are crazy!!! Does any couple *really* need to create and freeze an assload of embryos?! Unless they want to beat the Duggar family out of the title of "first family to have eleventy billion children". If he really wants to limit the stem cell research, he needs to start by finding ways to limit the crazy number of those discarded embryos...you don't wait until they are there (because if he is using religion as an excuse, he'd believe life begins at conception and it would be morally reprehensible to create a bunch of lives that people are just going to end up discarding anyway) and then try to defend them.
