It's been an amusing thing trying to collect all the bands that She Wants Revenge sort of sounds like: The Cure, Bauhaus, Interpol, Joy Division, and I think there were a couple of others too. I just call it catchy and danceable and fluffy, but I refuse to play the Gother Than Thou games.
I'm also amused that both of the main guys came from a house music background before forming this band on a lark.

Someone on the BT forums got yelled at for saying they were copying Joy Division when it was "obvious they were copying Interpol".
The person responded with "And who was Interpol copying? I just got rid of the middleman."
