Wow ...

Florida signs into law banning any critical thinking in their public schools regarding History.

Florida is striving hard to maintain it's place as 50th in the state regarding education. It must be wondrous for Kansas to be able to look at a state and say, "Wow, at least we're not THAT bad."

To paraphrase the person who I got the link from,

White people came here and the Indians died.
Well, why?
I'm sorry, I can't answer that, it would be interpretation and that is now illegal in the state of Florida.

not surprising, i guess, given the state's governor.

when you're right, you're right. when you're wrong, pass laws saying you're right anyway.

Friggin' copycats, Orwell already wrote about this bit.

Oh, for the record, I've added you to my f-list.

I am sooo not surprised this happened considering another Bush governs this state.

Florida is whacky!!

This cuts both ways though. Look at the instances of people who've been re-interpreting the Holocaust (for a gross example). Or hell, the current situation in Israel/Lebanan/Gaza.

Of course, I'll point to what Boortz says, you're sending your kids to government schools why?

But, but, but....

I thought that thoughtcrime was a good thing in a free and open democratic society.

?

Damn, there I go thinking again.
