Greymane is gone.

He was in the house when I checked the mail before going to work.

When I got home, only his sister was waiting for me at the door. I didn't think anything of it until he didn't come bounding into the kitchen like the trainwreck waiting to happen that he is.

So there I was in pitch black trying to find a black cat wearing a purple harness. A black cat who'd only ever been outside long enough to realize he hated it.

I'm printing signs up now to go on the posts tomorrow.

For now I am listening to Whitetoes' heartbreaking meows as she searchs for her brother.

FUCK

oh fuck. i'm so sorry!
call and drop fliers at the shelters, local vets, animal control, and pet shops, eh? very few folks call the pet shops. and an awful lot of people, upon finding a lost cat, just take it in, and then go out to the pet shop to buy it food and a litter tray and all.

No pet shops in the area. But I put a flier up in all the stores.
I called the local shelter as well.

Wholly shit Jak. Check with your nearest neighbors too and let them know he's missing. I wish I could help you look for him b/c I would. Hopefully he's just under the porch or something.
Good luck

Ugh, I absoluely hate hearing the heartbreaking sounds any animal makes when in pain, good luck with your search, that's so awful.

Oh no.

Good luck!

Keep checking shelters and nearest SPCA type place every day.

Also keep peeking out the windows and doors.

From experience, cats like to remember where their 'safe house' is. (Or the one that smells most like them.) Good Luck.

No!!! :( I'm sorry Jak. I hope you find him soon!

Good luck finding him. I know those meows far too well. :(

Let me know if youve found him by monday. If not I'll hop on a bus and come help you look.

That is one bad-ass looking cat. If there are any grade-school kids in your neighborhood, you may need to start knocking on doors to find out which one of them took him in. Good luck.

Awww no not greymane. I wish I could come help look for him.

Oh shit, I'm sorry Jak. That's a horrible feeling. My Boo-cat went missing after the house fire a few years back and was gone for a week. Luckily, some kind soul found him and turned him over to the Humane Society, which is where I found him.

I'll keep my fingers crossed for you.

If any of your neighbors have garages or sheds, its sometimes worth asking if they could check them for kittys. I hope you find him soon!

(hugs you tight) Best wishes on recovering your companion, Jak.
