Damn, shit like that pisses me off. Decorating Cents on HGTV just did their "trash to treasure" segment which focused on what to do with those 'worthless' hardcover books you've got hanging around.

though i agree that if you really don't intend to read a book, it should be in the possession of someone that actually will, i still would rather have hardcovers that paperbacks, or would rather have them than none at all.

But what can we expect when we live in a world that can produce shoppes that sell old hardcover books BY THE POUND. That way the functionally illiterate yuppies and glitterati can SEEM intelligent.
