yet more Pussification of America by the PC crowd

9 year old banned from playing baseball because he's too good!

This is a prime example of WHY I despise the "Everyone is a winner." noise which schools are trying to push.

The kid is being punished for having talent and skill!

Way to go fuckwaffles! Punish someone that excels at something because he might wound the fragile lil self-esteem of the kids he plays against. Way to reinforce unity through mediocrasy.

If that was my kid ... I think you all know what would be happening.

There's a short story by Kurt Vonnegut called, I think, Harrison Bergrot, about exactly this thing. It was made into a low-budget but excellent film of the same name. See if you can track them down.

I think the reason his parents & the team coach gave is way more credible: "Jericho’s coach and parents say the boy is being unfairly targeted because he turned down an invitation to join the defending league champion, which is sponsored by an employer of one of the league’s administrators."

if no child gets ahead then no child can be left behind.

i'm so glad i pulled my kid out of school. things like this prove that i did the right thing.

But what about the feelings of the other CHILDREN JAK? They can't hit his pitches, they'll be discouraged!

I wish they'd go back to the, "Only some kids are winners; we can't all be NASA physicists, we need janitors and fry cooks too" methodology.

Well we do, but if that's all you do with your life, it's not anyone else's fault.

It's quite sad how the mediocre are praised and encouraged over those who actually might possess a few extra INT and WIS points.

...or too many GP.
