I just got informed that, while the person agrees with my point of view, I'm too mean in the way I make my point about certain issues.

Do you know how hard it was to refrain from responding to that with:

About the same time as the average kid had parents AND grandparents who bought into bullshit of Dr. Spock's cronies. (- From what I understand, in his later years Dr. Spock himself recanted a LOT of what he preached. But the damage had already been done. -)
This fragile unique snowflake bullshit is really destroying the country. No one wants to admit that their kid might not be the brightest bulb in the bunch. So there's a move in schools to do away with GRADES. Because they cause too much stress on students.
And people wonder why we are becoming a friggin fourth rate country within the course of a generation.
