A friend of mine made this observation.

Now that a lot of airports are mandating ALL electronics be put in checked baggage instead of carry-on ...

What do you think the chances of TSA contractors opening up eBay accounts en masse?

That, sir, is a brilliant idea. Unfortunatly I believe I would have to go to hell and back before they would give me a gun permit.

Do you need a permit to own there? If so, then I'd move.
If only a permit to carry, you can transport from Point A to Point B on an airline if it's legal to have at the source and destination. That's federal law. However, don't fly through NYC, they'll arrest you regardless of what Federal Law says on the subject.

I think here I would need a permin to own, carry, conceal, clean, brandish, buy ammo, get a proper lockbox, ect ect. Buffalo likes to gleen as much money from you as they can.

I'd move, but my support structure is here and I kind of need it.

OH, hooray, New York State. Yeah, Permit to possess handguns in NY. I was gonna check Packing.org, but they're really slow right now. I can't recall if there's a permit required to own a rifle or shotgun though.

I do what I can to avoid the place.

IIRC, I don't need a permit for one of those, but I would feel better if I took one of those safety courses with an instructor who suffers from OCD about it.
