PSA

Words of advice for those who just don't get it.

NEVER ask me to be brutally honest with you unless you TRULY want the brutal truth.

It's not my fault if you run away in tears after I give you what you wanted.

You'll find 99% of the time when some one asks for advice they don't want to hear the truth regardless of how much to the oposite they protest they want you to reaffirm their world view. Frankly if they can't take it that's their fault. Truth is truth and it's what we should share at all times and if they ask for it and they get it and they don't like it that's their damage.

Does my ass look fat?

Yeah, what is up with that?

And do you get the "you've just sprouted another head" look while you're speaking in that savage tongue from the apparently alien Planet of Personal Responsibility? I hate that look.

When somebody asks me what I think, I usually spend some preamble time, asking "Are you sure you want to know?"

How they handle my response often tells me a lot about whether or not they were telling the truth when they said yes.
