Friending and Non-friending

A little information on those who've put me on their friends list and wonder and/or complain about why I do not recripocate. There are a few reasons for this:

1.) I don't bother updating my friends list for ages at a time. There are people still not on my friends list who friended me over a year ago. Don't complain about being in that select group for only a few months.

2.) If I do not know who you are by your LJ handle, the chances I'm going to friend you are slim to nil. If you think you fall in that category, tell me who you are. I'm not going to sift through everyone's journal to see if I can figure out where I know you from.

3.) This isn't a popularity contest for me. I don't compete to see how many people will friend me. Not to be rude, but just because you wish to read what I post does not mean I think likewise. Just because we share a common interest in a community does not mean I wish to read about your daily life. Harsh? Sure, but I'm honest.

Yes, these reasons may make me seem like an asshole. Guess what? I am an asshole a lot of times. Deal with it.

BTW ... anyone here besides myself quite enjoy the taste of the Holiday Spice Pepsi?

Ohhh... you've had the Holiday Spice Pepsi? I really want to try some. I bet it's yummy.

It's true...you tend to take forever to friend someone. That's ok...we still adore your mean harsh self.

They probably won't sell it here. Perhaps I shall get to try in in Canadia.

I like the holiday spice. And it's an amazing color.

It also stains. But only if you are in a car of rowdy kids who tip the can and spill it down your front (while you are driving) while attempting to pass it back to someone else to try.
*seethe*

So the delightful taste of it, I am happy to announce, removed the danger to my spawn as it quickly quenched the fires of wrath.

I added you because I found you at random and enjoy reading...however, I don't play the popularity, add me back, drop me game, I do mine and I expect others to do as they wish.....

SO, anyway...I'm Rhett...a CAptain in the FD in Nashville....never really said HELLO..so HELLO!

And though the chances of you reciprocating are "slim to nil"...tis okay but I'd appreciate you still giving me the opportunity to read.

Thanks

What is so asshole-ish about that??

Re: Holiday spice Pepsi...I haven't even tried it. Sounds a bit strange and the reviews I have heard are usually either people totally love it or think it is horrible. Guess I'll just have to taste for myself.

You know what, there are people out there that might luv you for you assholish behavior. Never change because some people might just like you for being that unique individual. :-)

Heh.

Sometimes the culture of LJ astounds me. Like Margaret telling people she doesn't answer unknown or blocked calls. I thought maybe I should post something like that, and then I realized that if people haven't figured out how to leave a voicemail when I don't answer the phone - then little I do will help them get a clue.

The friend'ing thing is pretty scary too. So people friend and unfriend, and from my point of view it is no different than pruning some wild growths or exploring alternate paths. But people take it personally such that I've had people ask me not to unfriend them because *people would think things* ...

Errr... It never occurred to me people would review my friends list to decide if I was suitable to be read or left unread. Yet I've had people also comment "Oh you're a friend of Robert and Drew, so you must be blah blah blah."

I think LJ is it's own little bastard child in this way. Slowly but surely I'm finding that precludes me from spending as much time in LJ as I used to.

Holiday Spice whaa...?

Holiday. Spice. Pepsi. o.0 That sounds undeniably foul. But I would assume its not actually allspice and peppermint thown into a vat of Pepsi.

If you want the remander of my 12 pack you can have it... the aftertaste made me quite ill, I believe the "spice" they are referring to is actually ass.

out of curiosity, when and why did you friend me? i can't seem to remember how we met and when we friended eachother

Ze new Holiday spice is ok. I can't really taste too much of a difference, but I like it.

A-fucking-men. You're preaching to the choir over here though :)
