Do we want to include something on how Joe can't defend himself in his state because some hoplophobic liberal banned handguns and joe can't get a permit for a shotgun because it requires connections with local politicians to get the approval? Or how about Joe runs down a deer on the way home from his boyhood home because some mindless moron of a liberal decided that hunting was cruel and banned the deer season from the area?

What's strange jack is that you of all people seem to dislike mothering by people/government. Safety standards are nice, but its a bit odd that you can't buy an M151 Mutt or ex military HMMWV because the panty waisted liberals think they're unsafe and the conservatives want to defend the auto industry's market.... What would you do if some liberal succeeded in mandating seat-belts for motorcycles as some have in the past? God knows some have tried for some inexplicable reason.

Balance is what's needed. And a government that pays attention to the constitution.
