"I'm interested in writing as a career, but not in journalism because I'm not a liberal."

I love these asshats who try to claim everything involved in the media is run by the liberals and that they are fighting the minority fight trying to get their word out.

Rush Limbaugh, Laura Ingram, The Drudge report, Fox News, etc etc etc ... the list goes on.

Sheesh.

Heh.

I'm not interested in journalism because any career that requires me to write about crap I know nothing about AND encourages me to not write what people who know about it say is a waste of good time and paper.

However, I have to admit I would have thought that would suit liberals just fine. They seem to have a knack in this country for saying one thing and depending on the other... Like "Let's vote no to nuclear power honey. We'll drive our California plated hybrid over to the polls right after I unplug it."

Honestly, I'm disgusted with both extreme ends of the scale. However I've had to personally deal with more people who only get their "news" from Faux news and Rush Limbaugh than those who listen to Air America or whatever it's called.

My jaws want to turn back in my skull and start eating my brain whenever I hear another empty fucking dittohead spout drivel like, "I'd rather re-elect Bush. Sure he sucks but at least he has experience."

There is no party out there that fits anywhere close to my needs.

I was waiting for you to point that out. :-)

I am the first to admit that there are ways in which I fail to live up to my ideals, but driving a hybrid is not one of them.

What have you got against Hybrids?

Ryan, owner of 3 armored cars, 1 heavy military truck, 1 70s muscle car and a hybrdid (insight).

Akward wording on my part. I meant that driving the Hybrid is entirely consistant with my ideals. (ie energy conservation)

Hybrids don't plug in.

Stoopid smart people... very true though.

Heh ... Siobhan & Matt drove here from Toronto to pick me up for the roadtrip to C7. The roadtrip vehicle was one of the first models of the Prius in North America. I couldn't have done the trip on a motorcycle for less than what we spent in gas for that car.
